I'm from a broken home but that’s just a statistic,

At Christmas,
I got at least one item offer my wish list-

Still wet behind the ears and the fears of life still cryptic-
Now I’m a man still standing strong from the pains of life inflected,
Still living a movie but none of this shit is scripted-
SHE taught me write from wrong,
Read me bible psalms help me control my temper and always kept me calm-
What ever I do in life, I know I’ll make you proud,
Coz even as a yut I always stood out in a crowd-
Strong a perseverant, my one and only parent,
The one who struck around when daddy made his clearance-
A mum and Dad in one,
Years of life love to come-

What it is to be an artist
“This for every man and woman, who’s been blessed as an artist,
Stressed by bullshit and impossible targets-
But anything is possible as long as you start it,
Be it world domination or a patch of the market-
My mind takes sabbaticals to random locations,
Comes back erratical with some rap inspirations-
Don a suite of armour save a beautiful maiden,
Slay a dinosaur with the strength of a caveman-
We put pencil to paper, turn lead into gold,
Spray a melody that will tickle your nose-
Or tell a horror story that will turn your blood cold,
We have no plateaus we continually grow-
Fill a blank page that will live through the ages,
Release an idea from the bar of its cages-
Growing like an infant in its early stages,
Take a step back and say “Did I create this?”
