PLANETNOTION TELEVISION!
CAMERA-FOLK AND FILM EDITORS WANTED!
Planet Notion is looking for guys and dolls to film and edit features for its new TV channel, PNTV. Accompanying Notion to artist interviews, gigs, fashion shows, festivals and international events, you will be skilled, passionate and full of ideas about how to produce shit-hot video content. Camera-folk will be experienced and ideally have their own equipment, or at least access to equipment, while editors must be able to turn projects around quickly, and with stylistic flare. If you can both film and edit content, we would especially like to hear from you! These casual, unpaid positions would be ideal for those looking to develop their showreels, and to get the chance to travel, film major artists and top events.

Please email lucy(at)musichqmedia

DEVIATE + BENGA = BASS-HEAVY BADNESS! 93 Feet East, 29th March

A little bit of deviation never hurt anyone. I mean, change is good; if you do the same thing week in week out you’ll only find your soul being drained away, like man-juice up the nasal cavity of a sexually depraved Henry the Hoover. Anyway, Deviate is the kind of night to go to if you fancy a break from the norm… Unless you’re a huge fan of dub, reggae, ska and the like, in which case you won’t really be deviating at all.

Anyway, Deviate’s heading to Brick Lane’s 93 Feet East and they’re bringing the ‘vanguard of dub’ along with them; that’s the Iration Steppas Soundsystem to you and I. It’s not without reason that Iration Steppas have grown into one of England’s biggest, most notorious soundsystems. The boys have been spinning their dub, reggae riddims for eighteen years; we’re talking the kind of shit that you can skin-up and chill-out to, or grind and groove to, or just proper skank to, in equal measure.

That’s not all. Supporting Iration Steppas will be twenty-one year old dubstep luminary Benga. Benga’s practically dubstep royalty, we’re talking the bonnie prince Charlie of the dubstep world, except with smaller ears and killer half-step beats and basslines. Furthermore, Benga’s from Croydon, which is really fucking ghetto, as I should know being an old Croydonian myself. Having released his first groundbreaking EP, with minimal electro grooves and bass-beaten dub delicacies, when he was only sixteen years old, Benga continues to astonish and astound with his subliminal skills.

Live ten piece drum ‘n’ bass ‘slash’ dub-electro outfit, Gentleman’s Dub Club, will also be setting the scene with a “you’ve gotta see this shit man it’s fucking mental” live-set, whilst the likes of Exodus, Sidewinder and MC Oxman will be making up the bill. There's also a secret warehouse after party, Jamaican infused food and a live courtyard graf show taking place…  So go on, show some love; ditch your plans and Deviate. “RDDM SPELLS RIDDIM!!”
